ORDER

The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging violation of the order of this Court, dated 02.08.2022 made in W.P(MD)No.12366 of 2022, wherein, this Court has directed the District Collector to initiate proceedings under the provisions of the Revenue Recovery Act to recover the amount awarded by the Joint Commissioner of Labour under the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent brought to the notice of the Court that, the second respondent Sugar Mill has gone under liquidation and in such circumstances, the District Collector is not in a position to initiate revenue recovery proceedings. The said statement is recorded. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the liquidator to ventilate his grievance.

3. With the above said observation, the contempt petition stands closed.
