Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent herein to grant permission for conducting Kabadi Tournament at Gowtharasanallur, Kilikoodu, Thiruvanai Kovil via., Trichy District from 17.12.2016 at 10.00 pm to 18.12.2016 at 10.00 pm based on his representation, dated 12.12.2016. The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission for conducting Kabadi Tournament at Gowtharasanallur, Kilikoodu, Thiruvanai Kovil via., Trichy District, from 17.12.2016 at 10.00 pm to 18.12.2016 at 10.00 pm, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 12.12.2016.

2.Mr.K.P.Krishnadass, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 4.It is seen that the same petitioner has already obtained an order for conducting Kabadi Tournament at Gowtharasanallur, Kilikoodu, Thiruvanai Kovil Via, Trichy District, in W.P.(MD) No.23164 of 2016, dated 30.11.2016. Though he has stated in the present petition that the tournament was not conducted on 03.12.2016 and 04.12.2016 due to rain, now the same tournament is intended to be conducted on 17.12.2016.

respondent police to consider the petitioner's request as early as possible upon the prevailing situation in that area and pass appropriate orders. No costs.
