Prayer :- This Criminal Original Petition is filed Under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., To issue a direction for directing the Learned Special Court for Exclusive Trial of case under SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989, Dindigul expedite the case pending before the Learned Special Court for Exclusive Trial of case under SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989, Dindigul in Spl.S.C.No.16 of 2019 within stipulated time. 1/4
ORDER:- This Criminal Original Petition coming on for orders on this day under the caption " Extension of time for Lower Court" and upon perusing earlier order of this court dated 11.08.2022 and the requsition letter submitted by the Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases Under SC/ST(POA) Act, Dindigul in D.No.637/2023 dated 18/08/2023 seeking further extension of time for dispose the case in Spl.S.C. 16 of 2019 pending on the file of Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases Under SC/ST Act, Dindigul, this Court made the following order: This case has been listed today under the caption 'for extension of time' to dispose of the case in Spl.S.C.No.16 of 2019. 2.By the order dated 11.08.
2022, this Court directed the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive trial of cases under SC/ST (POA) Act, Dindigul, to conclude the trial in Spl.S.C.No.16 of 2019, pending on his file, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Now, the learned Judge, seeks further time to complete the trial process. 3.Considering the reasons assigned by the learned Judge, this Court is inclined to grant further time and accordingly, four months time is granted.
