ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Principal District Sessions Court, Nagercoil to dispose the appeal in Crl.A.No.53 of 2017.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the appeal in Crl.A.No.53 of 2017, which was filed by the first respondent herein, is pending from the year 2017 and it was periodically adjourned for argument. Hence this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the case is posted for argument on 21.07.2022. Thereafter, it was periodically adjourned to some other dates.

4.I have considered the submissions made by both the learned Counsels appearing for the parties.

5.On a perusal of records, it reveals the fact that the criminal appeal was taken on file by this Court in the year 2017 and the lower Court records 2/4

were received on 17.07.2018. Thereafter, it was periodically adjourned. 6.In view of the above, the Principal District Sessions Court, Nagercoil is directed to dispose of the appeal in Crl.A.No.53/2017 within a period of one month, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, that too without granting any further adjournment.

7.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
