The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's Appeal dated 06.09.2016 for issuance of Patta regarding the land in Survey Nos. 54/2 54/13 55/13 of Singamangalapatti Village Sathurvedhamangalam Village Group Thiruppathur Taluk Sivagangai District.

3. Needless to say that it is for the first respondent to consider the said appeal after giving opportunity of hearing to

the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

4. Therefore, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 06.09.2016 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
