The petitioner is a permanent resident of Unaiyoor Village. The petitioner's aunt passed away on 28.08.2021. While taking her body to the cremation ground, some issue had cropped up with the members of the other castes and that led to lodging of complaint by the petitioner. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.14980 of 2021 meeting on 24.09.2021 at 11 a.m. It is stated that the petitioner failed to respond to the summons, but the counter party appeared in the peace meeting and gave undertaking that henceforth they will not obstruct any funeral procession for whatever reason. 2.According to the learned Government counsel, as of now, the matter has been amicably resolved and peace prevails in the locality. The petitioner belongs to the Scheduled Caste Community. Since he has expressed apprehension regards his safety, the third respondent is directed to ensure the petitioner's safety. 3.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above said directions.
