ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Rajapalayam to dispose of the case in C.C.No.196 of 2017 as expeditiously.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the accused in Crime No.150 of 2017. The petitioner was charged for the offences under Sections 294(b), 324, 341, 506(ii) and 323 IPC. Even though the matter was taken cognizance by the learned Magistrate in the year 2017 itself in C.C.No.196 of 2017, the trial is yet to be commenced. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking expeditious trial.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that trial in this case has been commenced and now the matter is posted on 04.09.2019 for examination of P.Ws.1 to 4.

4. The submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) is recorded. Considering the fact that the trial in this case has already been commenced, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Rajapalayam is directed to proceed with the trial and dispose of the case in C.C.No.196 of 2017 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
