ORDER

The petitioner is the victim in C.C.No.133 of 2020 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nanguneri. She has approached this Court seeking a direction to the trial Court to expedite the trial in C.C.No.133 of 2020 within a stipulated time.

2. It appears that the final report was taken on file in the year 2020 and it is still kept pending without any progress. Any further delay would certainly demoralize the witnesses. It is the responsibility of the trial Court to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.

3. This Court is not aware of the pendency of the cases in Naguneri Court. Therefore, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nanguneri, to expedite the trial and conclude the proceedings in C.C.No.133 of 2020, as expeditiously as possible, not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
