The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to grant permission and accord protection for conducting Minnoli Kabadi Tournament by Sports Club scheduled on 26.12.2016 at 8.00 pm to 27.12.2016 8.00 am held at Immanuvel Factory Ground, Shanmugapuram, Tiruneveli District. 2.Mr.K.P.Krishnadass, learned Government Advocate, took notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 4.The learned Government Advocate would submit that the the petitioner did not give the representation directly to the police station and the petition was received through post on 15.12.2016 and that only SC/PL Community peoples are living in the village, whereas the petitioner belongs to Nadar Community and if the Kabadi Tournament is permitted to conduct, then it will lead to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

law and order problem in the area. Hence, he prayed for the dismissal of the petition.

5.It is seen from the counter filed by the respondent, there was no mention about the communal dispute prevailing in that particular area and no FIR was registered or pending with regard to the any occurrence taken place in that area. Hence, this court is of the considered view that a suitable direction can be issued to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.12.2016.

6.In view of the above circumstances, this petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.12.2016 and pass appropriate orders, purely on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two days from day.
