Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant Assignment Patta to the petitioners in S.No.64 Kilamadam Village Thenkarai Group Nachiyapuram Sub-Taluk Tirupattur Taluk Sivagangai District in light of the citizen's charter 2007 the petitioner's representation dated:30.09.16 within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Honble Court.

O R D E R

The petitioners seek for a direction to the respondents herein to grant Assignment Patta to the petitioners in S.No.64 Kilamadam Village Thenkarai Group Nachiyapuram Sub-Taluk Tirupattur Taluk Sivagangai District under the Scheme of Revenue Dept Assignment of land to landless poor and the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2016 within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Needless to say that it is for the second respondent to consider the said representation after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Therefore, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2016 after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
