O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct the Kabaddi Tournament from 24/12/2016 at about 10 pm to 25/12/2016 at about 10pm in the Ground, Situating in the Kali Amman Kovil Thidal, Pommani Samuthiram Trichy based on the petitioner's representation dated 14/12/2016 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the Inspector of Police, Somarasam Pettai Police Station is present before this Court and he is not raising any objection to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Kabadi Tournament.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate and the statement of the third respondent/ Inspector of Police, Somarasam Pettai Police Station, this Court is of the view that the second respondent/Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jeeyapuram, Trichy-102 is directed to dispose of the application given by the petitioner on 14.12.2016, on or before 24.12.2016 and pass suitable orders, on merits and in accordance with law. 5.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
