Respondent PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2015 submitted in person for the petitioner's compassionate appointment in any suitable post on the death of the petitioner's mother namely S.Rajeswari on 13.06.2015 in the light of the finding in W.A.No.1400 of 2011 dated 16.12.2015 (S.Velraj Vs. Mr.J.Lawrance, the learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent.
2.The prayer in the writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2015, for compassionate appointment for the petitioner.
3.The petitioner's mother, who was working at respondent Municipality died on 13.06.2015, while she was in service. Therefore, seeking compassionate appointment, her son, the petitioner herein has submitted a request dated 26.10.2015, to the respondent Municipality and the same is still pending with them. As no order has been passed and no appointment has been made appointing the petitioner in any of the suitable post, the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition.

4.By consent of both sides this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
5.The prayer sought for in the writ petition is in narrow campus, as the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that if the representation of the petitioner dated 26.10.2015, is considered for the purpose of compassionate appointment of the petitioner and orders passed within a stipulated time the petitioner would be satisfied.
6.Considering the said submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 26.10.2015, for the purpose of compassionate appointment on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
