Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners representations dated 17.10.2016 and 01.12.2016 and make necessary rectification by issuing patta in the name of the petitioner and his family members for the land situated in Survey No. 104/1A to an extent of 0.13.5 Ares, Paruthi Kanmaai Group, Kalaiyar Koil Taluk, Sivagangai District.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 17.10.2016 and 01.12.2016 and make necessary rectification by issuing patta in the name of the petitioner and his family members for the land situated in Survey No. 104/1A to an extent of 0.13.5 Ares, Paruthi Kanmaai Group, Kalaiyar Koil Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Needless to say that it is for the second respondent to consider the said representations after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

Therefore, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 17.10.2016 and 01.12.2016 after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
