O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents / TANGEDCO.

2. The petitioner is a consumer of electricity. The petitioner had been directed to pay the petition mentioned amount towards Additional Security Deposit. The petitioner expressed certain difficulties in making the payment at one go.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner draws my attention to the order dated 12.08.2020 made in W.P.No.10520 of 2020 ( M/s.The Rajaratna Mills V. The Chairman, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited, Chennai ) . A learned Judge of this 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.18011 OF 2022 Court had permitted the consumer to pay the amount in installments.

4. In view of the aforesaid decision, I permit the petitioner to pay the additional security deposit as claimed by the second respondent in six equal monthly installments. The first installment will commence from 13.08.2022 onwards. If in case the petitioner commits default in making payments, it is always open to the respondents to initiate appropriate action in accordance with law.

5. This writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs.
