ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 herein to provide adequate police protection for the petitioners lives and limbs and their property comprised in 1/3

S.No.26/1 situated at Keela Mudukulathur Village Group, Mudukulathur Taluk, Ramanathapuram District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2020 and 23.09.2020. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners would state that the matter had been compromised between the parties and now the petitioners have to survey the above property in S.No.26/1 and to fix the boundaries, for which, they would pray for police protection. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would state that the respondents are ready to give protection during the survey of the petitioner's property and to fix boundaries. 4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents 1 to

4. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the 5th respondent, notice to him is not necessary.

5.Though the learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that the parties have compromised the issue between themselves, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, before resorting to any action, the respondents/police may verify whether the parties have actually compromised the matter, by giving notice to the 5th respondent and thereafter give police protection if necessary, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
