Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Declaration to declare the disqualification of the petitioner in 400 meters running in the Physical Efficiency Test on 13.10.2020 as illegal and consequently for a direction, directing the respondents to re-conduct the 400 meters running in the Physical Efficiency Test for the petitioner on an alternative date and allow the petitioner for the next level of selection process in the recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Taluk, Armed Reserve (Men and Women /Transgender) and Tamil Nadu Special Police Men 2019, by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.10.2020.

O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed to declare the disqualification of the petitioner in 400 meters running in the Physical Efficiency Test, on 13.10.2020, as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to re-conduct 400 meters running in the Physical Efficiency Test for the petitioner on an alternative date and allow the petitioner for the next level of selection process in the recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police and Tamil Nadu Special Police Men 2019, by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.10.2020.
2. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, when the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has restricted the relief only to the extent to issue appropriate direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.10.2020, within a time limit.
3. At the time of argument, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has referred the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court in W.A.(MD).No.792 of 2010, dated 18.11.2010 and the order of this Court in W.P.(MD).No.13830 of 2020, dated 05.11.2020.
4. In view of the above, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.10.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
