This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Bodinayackanur, Theni District, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.146 of 2018.

2.The petitioners are arrayed as accused Nos.1 to 3 in C.C.No.146 of 2018, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Bodinayackanur, Theni District, for the offences under Sections 498 (A), 406 and 506 (i) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

3.The grievance of the petitioners is that even though C.C.No.146 of 2018 is pending from the year 2018, there is no progress in the trial. Hence the petitioners seek for a direction to speedy disposal of the said case by the concerned Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2 Crl.O.P.(MD) No.11897 of 2019 4.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the trial has been commenced and the matter is posted on 30.08.2019 for examination of L.Ws.1 to 5. 5.Considering the fact that already the trial has been commenced, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Bodinayackanur, Theni District, is directed to proceed with the trial in C.C.No.146 of 2018 and dispose of the same, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
