O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the second respondent to grant notional promotion to the petitioner in the post of Assistant Account Officer with effect from 24.07.2019 with all consequential benefits.
2. Though the writ petition is filed for a larger relief, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the grievance of the petitioner will be met out, if the representation given by the petitioner dated 05.03.2020 and 20.11.2020 to the respondents is considered on merits.
3. With regard to the entitlement of the petitioner for the notional promotion, in the said representation, the petitioner has clearly stated that how he is entitled for the notional promotion. However, the respondents have not taken any steps to consider the same. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.
4. Mr.T.Sakthikumaran, learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.03.2020 and 20.11.2020, will be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law.
5. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner has made several representations to the respondents with regard to the entitlement of the notional promotion and the respondents have not passed any orders. Therefore, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 05.03.2020 and 20.11.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
