ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 10.06.2019 seeking to transfer from Pudukottai District to her native at Tirunelveli District, by considering her 18 years of service in the same school and health and family issues.
2. According to the petitioner, she made a representation dated 10.06.2019, to the respondents seeking transfer from Pudukottai District to Thirunelveli District, by considering her ill health and her daughter is studying in the native village, but, the same has not been considered by the respondents so far. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents objected that the petitioner is not entitled to seek such a direction before this Court seeking transfer from Pudukkottai District to Thirunelveli District. She would further submit that as per G.O.Ms.218, Education Department, dated, 20.06.2019, certain guidelines has been issued by the Government for General Transfer Counseling, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible, can seek transfer to the aforesaid Thirnelvlei District.
4. Accepting the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as prayed for in the Writ Petition. However, it is open to the petitioner to attend the General Transfer Counseling and seek transfer from Pudukkottai to Thirunelveli District, if she is otherwise eligible, as per the guidelines issued by the respondent / Department.
