JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The present intra-Court appeal has been instituted mainly on the ground that the learned Single Judge recorded the violation committed by the respondent, who is holding the post of Village President of Kandharvakottai Panchayat Union. The learned Single Judge elaborately considered the issues and while approving the decision of the Inspector of Panchayat, formed an opinion that directions given in that order passed by the District Collector, Pudukkottai / 1st appellant, shall remain in force only till 30.06.2023. Thus, the relief has been granted as a temporary measure and the period stipulated in the order impugned also has been lapsed.

2.That being the factum, there is no impediment for the District Collector / competent authority for the purpose of initiation of further action, if any violations or misconduct are committed under the provisions of statutes and rules in force. Thus, the order lost its significance, in view of its nature as 2/4

temporary measure. Thus, this Writ Appeal need not be entertained and accordingly, it is disposed of. However, the authorities competent in the event of any violations or misconduct shall initiate further action in the manner known to law. No costs.
