This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to depute a Special Investigating Officer to investigate the case in Crime No.08 of 2022 on the file of the third respondent police. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the case has been registered in Crime No.08 of 2022 on 07.07.2022 against the accused persons. In this case, Accused Nos.1 and 2 were arrested by the respondent police and the remaining accused are still absconding. 3.A perusal of records shows that, since the case has been registered only on 07.07.2022, I find no substantial reason to depute a Special Investigating Officer to investigate the case. 4.In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.08 of 2022 and file a final report within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
