ORDER: The Court made the following order :- This Criminal Original Petition to direct the Special Court for EC & NDPS Act Cases, Thanjavur, to accept the sureties furnished by the petitioner pursuant to the order dated 04.06.2026 made in Crl.O.P. (MD).No.8142 of 2026 and enlarge the petitioner on bail. 2.On perusal, it is seen that this Court granted bail to the petitioner vide order dated 04.06.2026 in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.8142 of 2026, directing the petitioner to appear and execute the bond before the Special Court for EC & NDPS Act Cases, Thanjavur. Pursuant to the same, the petitioner approached the said Court; however, the same was returned on the ground that the case records were not available, as the same was being transferred to the Special Court for EC & NDPS Act Cases, Madurai. In the said circumstances, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking a direction to the concerned Court to accept the sureties. 3.Since, on the date of passing of the order, the case was pending before the Special Court for EC & NDPS Act Cases, Thanjavur, and 2/5

thereafter, it has been transferred to the Special Court for EC & NDPS Act Cases, Madurai, this Court is of the view that it would be appropriate to direct the Special Court for EC & NDPS Act Cases, Madurai to accept the sureties, if any, filed by the petitioner. 4.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed on the following terms:

(i) The learned Judge, Special Court for EC & NDPS Act Cases, Madurai, is directed to accept the sureties, if any, filed by the petitioner; on merits and in accordance with law.
