The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's Appeal dated 07.11.2016 filed under Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

3.Needless to say that it is for the first respondent to consider the said representation after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. 4.Therefore, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.11.2016 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
