This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties present. The counsel for the appellant MR.K.GOKUL and the counsel for the respondents MR.C.PADMARAJ are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties and with the assistance of the Bench, both sides consented for settlement.
AWARD The tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.18,06,000/-, (Rupees Eighteen Lakhs and Six Thousand only) as compensation with 7.5% interest from the date of filing of the petition. As per the order, the second respond has deposited a sum of Rs.23,52,772/- (Rupees Twenty Three Lakhs Fifty Two Thousand and Seven Hundred Seventy Two only) before the concerned Tribunal and preferred the appeal before this Court. Now, the petitioner and the second respondent have mutually agreed to settle the appeal before this forum.
2.After negotiation between the parties, this matter is settled and the first respondent/petitioner is entitled to withdraw the amount of Rs.22,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Two Lakhs only) with accrued interest and cost and the second respondent/appellant is also entitled to withdraw the amount of Rs.1,52,772/- https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Two Thousand and Seven Hundred and Seventy Two) with accrued interest. On
such deposit being made, the respondents are permitted to withdraw their shares, without filing any formal permission petition.
