Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned order, dated 18.12.2016, in Na.Ka.No.25/P1PS/2016, passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same and consequently directing the 2nd respondent to provide necessary permission and protection to conduct Minnoli Kabadi Tournament at the Ground of Perunthalaivar Primary and Nursery School, Puliyankudi, Tirunelveli District, on 25.12.2016 at 10.00 p.m., to 26.12.2016 at 09.00 a.m. in the eve of Christmas and New Year.

O R D E R

Perusal of the records shows that the date on which the petitioner sought for permission for conducting the Kabadi Tournament was already over. Hence, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No Costs. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to file a fresh petition seeking permission to the future date for conducting the Kabadi Tournament, according to law.
