ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay Rs.4,00,000/- as loan from the petitioner's Provident Fund account no.11644 for his daughter's marriage expenses, which was held on 24.05.2021 based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2021 within a stipulated time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 4.According to the petitioner, he is working as Selection Grade Diver in Pudur Branch under the control of the respondent's Corporation. He required money to meet the expenses of his daughter's marriage and hence, he applied for Provident Fund Loan for a sum of Rs.4,00,000/-. But no loan was granted by the respondents, which prompted the petitioner to borrow the money from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.17695 of 2021 money lenders with exorbitant interest. In such circumstances, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition. 5.When this Writ Petition is taken up for consideration, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents on instructions would submit that as per the Scheme, the petitioner is not entitled to avail such Provident Fund Loan and hence, his request was not considered. But as on date, no order has been passed and communicated to the petitioner.

6. In view of the above, the respondents are directed to communicate the reasoned order either accepting or rejecting the request of the petitioner in the matter of extending the loan to the petitioner by considering his representation dated 27.07.2021 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
