ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first Respondent herein to dispose of the Petitioner's Appeal dated 24.10.2020 preferred against the order of punishment of stoppage of increment for the period of three years with cumulative effect passed by the second respondent vide proceedings in Reference No.LD2OD/709, dated 20.02.2020 within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, he has preferred an Appeal dated 24.10.2020 against the punishment order passed by the second respondent and the same is pending for consideration before the first respondent and so far no orders have been passed. 3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that the said Appeal will be considered at the earliest, if it is in order.
4. In view of the aforesaid submissions made by the counsel for the parties concerned, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 24.10.2020 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, (if it is in order) as expeditiously as possible within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
