Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to dispose the petitioner's Appeal dated 09.03.2026 (sent on 17.03.2026) which was filed before the second respondent and the same was transferred to the third respondent on 30.03.2026 and 02.04.2026 and consequently direct the first to fourth respondents to restore the patta issued on 24.12.2008 in favour of the petitioner issued by the fourth respondent in respect of land in Old Resurvey No.259/1 (Old T.S.No.26/1, New Town Survey No.1, Ward J, Block - 10) in an extent of 35 Cents situated at Samsikapuram, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District within the time fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The present Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 09.03.2026 and also directing the first to fourth respondents to restore the patta dated 24.12.2008 issued in favour of the petitioner by the fourth respondent in respect of the land comprised in Old Resurvey No.259/1 (Old T.S.No.26/1, New Town Survey No.1, Ward-J, Block-10), measuring an extent of 35 cents and situated at Samsikapuram, Page No. 2 of 5

Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the Government of Tamilnadu.

3. This Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, is directing the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 09.03.2026, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
