Heard the learned counsel for the revision petitioner. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

2.The petitioner filed H.M.O.P.No.874 of 2019 on the file of Family Court, Madurai for dissolution of marriage. The petitioner seeks speedy disposal of the said H.M.O.P.

3.Normally, I would be reluctant to issue such a direction because I may not be aware of the work load of the Court below. However, in this case, I am inclined to give the direction because the H.M.O.P. is five year old. The Hon'ble Apex Court has been emphasizing that cases should be disposed of within five years.

4.In this view of the matter, the Court below is directed to dispose of H.M.O.P.No.874 of 2019 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.This civil revision petition is disposed of accordingly.
