The petitioner has lodged a complaint before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Trichy, as against the respondents, for the offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. The complaint of this petitioner has been taken on file in CC No.364 of 2018. The petitioner claims that he has completed his evidence on 1/3

29.11.2022. However, the respondent/ accused is dragging the proceedings by filing several applications one after other and the learned Judicial Magistrate has also not shown any interest to conclude the proceedings of the year 2018 in time. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

2.Since the case is of the year 2018, the trial Court is expected to give some priority to the case in CC No.364 of 2018 and ensure that the trial is completed as early as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
