O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to return the petitioner's passport.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondent. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. According to the petitioner, since no case is pending against the petitioner, the respondent herein has directed the petitioner to surrender the passport. Pursuant to the said direction, the petitioner has also surrendered the passport. Subsequently, the petitioner was acquited from the criminal proceedings. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent seeking return of the passport. Bus so far no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner's representation, dated 10.07.2019 is pending with the respondent, the respondent is directed to consider the said representation and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance law after affording opportunity to the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
