ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 30.04.2023, for the offences punishable under sections 120B, 392, 34, 201, 302, 380 and 449 IPC, in Crime No. 300 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 1/3

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 24.12.2022 at about 10.30 am, when the defacto complainant went to her house, she allegedly found her husband and mother-in-law died, as such gold jewels worn by them and CCTV hard disk were missed. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that earlier, this court directed the trial to be completed within a period of one month. The trial has not even commenced, therefore, he prays for bail.

4. The prayer is opposed by the learned Public Prosecutor on the ground that this is a murder for gain. The mother and son were murdered just for gain. Even though direction was given to complete the trial within a period of one month and summons were served, only because of the learned advocates were on strike, the trial could not commence.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the overall facts and circumstances the case, the bail application is dismissed as per the earlier order of this court. However, time is extended by two months from today to complete the trial. The prosecution shall examine the respective witnesses and complete the trial as expeditiously as possible. 2/3
