The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation, dated 17.12.2016 and grant permission and protection to the petitioner to conduct program namely 'KABADI SPORTS EVENTS' on 30.12.2016 and 31.12.2016 in Palayamkottai Village, Aathur Taluk, Dindigul District.
2.Mr.K.P.Krishnadass, learned Government Advocate, took notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) would submit that the respondents police rejected permission on the ground that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
already political problem is going on in the village from LokShaba Election 2016 and only SC/PL community peoples are living in the village and if permission is granted to conduct Kabadi Sports Event that will create communal problem and hence, the petition filed by the petitioner has to be dismissed.
5.It is seen from the counter affidavit filed by the 2nd respondent that due to political problem in the village during the Lok Shaba Election 2016, a criminal case was registered and except that ground, no other valid grounds have been stated in the counter for rejection.
6.In view of the above circumstances, this petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 17.12.2016 and pass appropriate orders, purely on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two days from today.
