Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to revise the seniority list of the petitioner from 2001 consequently to provide deemed promotion in the cadre of Inspector of Police to settle all the monetary benefits to the petitioner with in the time framed by this Court in the light of representation of the petitioner on dated 03.10.2015.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to revise the seniority list of the petitioner from 2001 and to provide deemed promotion in the cadre of Inspector of Police and also settle all the monetary benefits to him within a time framed in the light of representation of the petitioner on dated 03.10.2015.

2.Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.10.2015 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
