ORDER
Seeking to direct the respondents to take expeditious action for removal of a dangerous tree and demolition of dilapidated and dangerous old house situated in Survey No.462/27, Panaiyur Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District as per the proceedings of the 3rd respondent in RDOSKL/2426/2024/A1 dated 23.09.2024, this writ petition is filed.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had already obtained necessary permission in this regard from the 3rd respondent and hence, the petitioner had given a representation to the 5th respondent to afford necessary police protection for removal of the dangerous tree as well as the building. The same is not considered, hence, this writ petition. 2/5
3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) submitted that the respondent police would afford necessary police protection on payment of necessary charges.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Civil Side) submitted that the petitioner's plight would be considered within a period of four weeks.
5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.
6. In this regard, the 4th respondent is directed to take necessary steps to remove the dilapidated building as well as the dangerous tree. The 5th respondent is directed to afford necessary police protection on payment of the necessary charges in terms of G.O(Ms)No.139, Home (Pol-VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019.
7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. 15.06.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No 3/5
