ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition, seeking a direction to the third respondent to grant permission to 1/3
start English medium sections in the petitioner school, namely, Marthandam Hindu Primary School, Avaraikulam- 627 133, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District as per G.O.Ms.No.148 dated 20.07.2018 based on the representation dated 08.06.2020.
2. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. Ms.Lakshmi Prasanna, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate would submit that the proposal/representation of the petitioner has been forwarded to the District Educational Officer and orders are awaited.
5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the concerned authority to consider the representation dated 08.06.2020 submitted by the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment to do so.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
