Respondents [RR6 to 8 are suo motu impleaded vide Court order dated 11.12.2020 in W.P.(MD) No.18141 of 2020] PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents a) To Shift the temporary Fire and Rescue Station located in West Chithirai Street to Permanent Building in the vicinity of Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple with modern facilities to safeguard the equipments, parking facility of fire tender and all other infrastructures in accordance with law within the time that may be stipulated by this Court; and b) To renovate the Veera Vasantharayar Mandapam located in Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple which was damaged in the 2018 fire accident to its original level in accordance with law within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] As far as the first relief to shift the temporary Fire and Rescue Station located in West Chithirai Street to the permanent building in the vicinity of Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple is concerned, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the relief has become infructuous.
2. Insofar as the second prayer to renovate the Veera Vasantharayar Mandapam located in Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, which was damaged in the 2018 fire accident to its original position is concerned, the learned counsel for the Temple would submit that renovation works are in progress and the same will be completed by December, 2025.
3. Recording the above, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
