The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event, namely Adal Padal scheduled to be held on 26.12.2016 at night in connection with Christmas Festival in C.S.I, Church at Emaneswaram Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 12.12.2016.

2.Mr.K.P.Krishnadass, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) would submit that the representation of the petitioner seeking permission for conducting Adal Padam Programme, has received by post only on 20.12.2016 and the petitioner has not appeared before the respondent seeking permission for conducting the programme. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Recording the above submission, this petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to appear before the respondent police and give a representation in person and on such appearance, the respondent police is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, purely on merits and in accordance with law, on the same day itself.
