Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to extend the last date of admission of students for BSMS Course for the academic year 2016-17 to a further date and consequently to direct the respondents herein to conduct counselling on the extended date to enable the petitioner to have admission of students in BSMS Couse for the academic year 2016-17.

Mr.Veerakathiravan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that pursuant to the filing of this Writ Petition, a communication was issued by the Government of India on 21.12.2016 extending the cut-off date for admission upto 31.12.2016 and therefore the Petitioner wants to withdraw this Writ Petition. An endorsement has also been made to that effect. 2.In view of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed. No costs.
