Prayer:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 29.3.2016 to pay compensation for the property comprised in S.No.121/4, measuring about 0.95 acres situated at Kannudayanpatti Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District acquired by him.

ORDER

The Petitioner seeks for payment of compensation for the property comprised in S.No.121/4, measuring about 0.95 acres situated at Kannudayanpatti Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District acquired under the Land Acquisition Proceedings. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. 3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.The grievance of the Petitioner is that the second respondent has not passed an award and paid the compensation so far.

5.It appears that notice was sent to the Petitioner for appearing before the second respondent for conducting the award enquiry. Therefore, it is for the second respondent to pass orders without further delay, also by hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
