PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce body or person of the petitioner's daughter detenue namely Sudalaivadivu (aged 35) D/o.Papanasam and the petitioner's grandson detenu namely Arumugavel (aged 11) S/o.Kittumani before this Court and set them at liberty. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH,J.) The Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for production of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Sudalaivadivu, aged about 35 years and the petitioner's grandson, namely, Arumugavel, aged about 11 years and set them at liberty.
2. In the last hearing date on 10.07.2023, this Court deemed it fit that the matter could be referred to Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court for an amicable settlement.
3. Accordingly, the parties have appeared before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court. In the mediation report dated 10.07.2023, it is seen that the said Sudalaivadivu had expressed her willingness to live with her father, who is the petitioner herein, along with her son Arumugavel. The mediation report passed in Mediation File No.359/2023 dated 10.07.2023 is hereby recorded. Since the grievance of the petitioner has been met, no further orders are required in this Habeas Corpus Petition.
