Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, by directing the first and second respondents herein to give equivalence certificate to the petitioner's M.Sc., (Computer Science and Information Technology) degree obtained from the second respondent University as equivalent to M.Sc., (Computer Science) for the purpose of securing public employment based on his representation dated 15.05.2019.

ORDER

The petitioner filed this Writ Petition for a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to issue a equivalence certificate as regards the petitioner's M.Sc. (Computer Science and Information Technology) degree. After the Writ Petition was filed, the petitioner states that he gathered that G.O.Ms.No.268, Higher Education (K1) Department dated 29.11.2019 was issued. W.P(MD)No.17777 of 2021 Technology) degree offered by the Madurai Kamaraj University has been held to be equivalent to the M.Sc. (Computer Science) degree for the purpose of employment in public services.

2. As such, the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed. By recording the aforesaid, W.P.(MD).No.17777 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
