Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, seeking for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to take appropriate actions based on the petitioner's complaint dated 07.05.2025 made to the 3rd respondent police in CSR No.279 of 2025 dated 09.05.2025 and based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.05.2025 made in person to the 2nd respondent in accordance with law within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has approached this court with a grievance that the respondent police have not taken action on his complaint. 2.When this petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submits that the complaint of the petitioner has been registered in CSR 2/5

No.279/2025, dated 09.05.2025. They have issued summon to the petitioner to produce the relevant documents. Since the petitioner has not co-operated for enquiry and issue is also civil in nature, they have closed the complaint.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner disputed that it is a case of theft, but they are projecting it as a civil dispute. 4.Since the respondent police closed the complaint in CSR No. 279 of 2025, this petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to furnish a copy of the closure report to the petitioner enabling him to workout his remedy in the manner known to law. 30.06.2025 DSK 3/5
