2. The petitioner is seeking to rectify the error in the Patta, contending that the extent of the property has been erroneously mentioned therein. According to the petitioner, he is entitled to an extent of 5.75 cents. However, in the Patta, it has been mentioned as 5 cents. It is seen that based on the petitioner's application, the District Revenue Officer has sent a correspondence to the Sub Collector vide Na.Ka.Aa1/1/2026/Aa1 dated 17.04.2026.

3. In such circumstances, the third respondent, namely, the Sub Collector, is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's application on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other rival parties, if any, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
