PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay Rs.4,00,000/- as loan from petitioner's provident fund account No. TN/17712/2450 with regard to the house construction expenses and the petitioner's children education expenses based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2020, within a time fixed by this Court. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to provide a loan for a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- to the petitioner from his provident fund account (Ac.No.TN/17712/2450), by considering the representation dated 30.04.2020.

2.By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.It is the grievance of the petitioner that with the relief sought for in the prayer, though he has made a representation dated 30.04.2020 to the respondents, no action has been taken so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

W.P.(MD)No.18162 of 2020 4.It is the contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that more than Rs.5,50,000/- is available in the petitioner's provident fund account and that there is no impediment to the respondents for granting loan to the petitioner. 5.In reply, Mr.P.Balasubramanian, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2020 would be considered in accordance with the rules and regulations, within a period of four weeks.

6. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- since it is represented that more than Rs.5,50,000/- is available in the petitioner's provident fund account, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2020 and dispose of the same in accordance with the rules and regulation, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order;

7.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
