This petition has been filed for quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.168 of 2017, on the file of the leaned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam. The second respondent is the defacto complainant. The first respondent investigated the complaint lodged by the second respondent and filed the final report against the petitioner herein for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 506(i) of I.P.C. and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. Cognizance of the offences was taken and summons have been issued to the petitioner. The case is presently pending before the learned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11792 of 2019 Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam. In the meanwhile, the parties have amicably resolved all the disputes between themselves and it is stated that they are living together. The defacto complainant is present in person before me and she states that the proceedings initiated at her instance can be quashed. This is a matter of matrimonial dispute. Since the parties have solved the issues between themselves, no purpose will be served in keeping the prosecution alive. Hence, the proceedings stands quashed and the criminal original petition is allowed.
