ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the charge sheet in CC No. 718 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tenkasi, charged for the offences under Section 442, 294(b), 427, 506(2) & 352 of IPC.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners came to the defacto complainant's house, abused her and her relatives in filthy language and attacked the defacto complainant's husband and damaged his vehicle, for which a case in Crime No.15 of 2023 has been registered against the petitioners.

3. Now, the petitioners and the defacto complainant / 2nd respondent have amicably settled the dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 09.08.2024.

The petitioners, namely, A.Arunkumar, (Aadhaar No.8028 8301 8325), K.Manoharan @ Manokar (Aadhaar No.5166 4272 0655), V.Santhosh (Aadhaar No.8219 5166 4613), and the second respondent, namely, S.Solai Kaleeswari (Aadhaar No.9186 9740 0052) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by the first respondent police. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them. 2/4

5. In view of the above and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned charge sheet pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.718 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tenkasi, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 09.08.2024 shall form part of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 16.12.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Sm TO:-
