ORDER
The petitioners seek to quash the charge sheet in CC No. 649 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tenkasi, charged for the offences under Section 294(b), 323 & 506(2) of IPC.
2. The case of the prosecution is that due to the pathway dispute between the parties, the petitioners abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and attacked him, for which a case in Crime No.14 of 2023 has been registered against the petitioners.
3. Now, the petitioners and the defacto complainant / 2nd respondent have amicably settled the dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 09.08.2024.
4. The petitioners, namely, A.Arunkumar, (Aadhaar No.8028 8301 8325), K.Manoharan @ Manokar (Aadhaar No.5166 4272 0655), V.Santhosh (Aadhaar No.8219 5166 4613), Ambi @ Murugaiah @ Murugaiah Pandi @ Murugaiah Thevar (Aadhar No.8444 3725 7990) and the second respondent, namely, and K.Sankaranarayanan (Aadhaar No.8804 4195 7503) are present before this Court in person, except the fourth petitioner, who passed away on 2/4
17.09.2025. They are identified by the first respondent police. Except for the said fourth petitioner, all other parties have confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

In view of the compromise entered into between the parties and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned charge sheet pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No.649 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tenkasi, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 09.08.2024 shall form part of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
