Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take an appropriate action against the 5th respondent for publishing the defamatory notice against the Kattapanchayat (Ex-Communication) against the Kesavapuram Menavar (Fisherman) Women and to pay compensation of Rs. 50 lakh to the petitioner family members.

ORDER
The petitioner with a grievance that his right has been denied by the villagers has lodged a complaint before the respondent police and has moved this application for taking action on his complaint. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submits that the petitioner's complaint has been registered in CSR No.551 of 2025 and they found that in the village 2/5
they are following a procedure for collecting tax and if the petitioner wants to establish his right, he has to workout his remedy only before the civil Court and the petitioner has not been prevented from residing in the village.
3.This Court perused the communication dated 18.05.2025. It appears that in the village they are following a uniform method for collecting tax and it is not in the form of discrimination. They are collecting taxes only from the male members, who are born in the village and it cannot be termed as discrimination. Therefore, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedy before the civil Court. No costs.
