ORDER

The petitioner claims to be the second wife of Late N.S.Murugan, who died on 02.04.2025 during the subsistence of his earlier marriage with one Gandhimathi.

2. It is informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the said Gandhimathi also died on 23.12.2017. According to the petitioner, the petitioner and the petitioner's children viz., Anand and Janani are entitled to be considered as legal heirs of Late Mr.Murugan, who died on 02.04.2025. The above position also stands confirmed by the Revenue Inspector, Thoothukudi and the Village Administrative Officer, who have also recommended to issue legal heir certificate to the petitioner and her children.

3. Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader, I direct the respondent to consider the recommendation made by the Revenue Inspector, Thoothukudi and the Village Administrative Officer after holding enquiry

within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, proceed to issue legal heir certificate to the petitioner and her children.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
